Ash Denham MSP has commended the generosity of her constituents for their continued donations to the Edinburgh School Uniform Bank over the summer holidays.
The Edinburgh School Uniform Bank provides good-quality school uniform and other clothing, equipment and supplies required for the school to children affected by poverty across the capital.
The charity aims to provide the children most affected by financial hardship go to school with dignity and the right uniform to make the most of their education.
Ash Denham MSP’s constituency office has been a collection point for the Uniform Bank for the past year.
Commenting, Ash Denham MSP for Edinburgh Eastern said,
“I want to thank all of those who have dropped off clothing and equipment for the Uniform Bank this summer.
“Edinburgh School Uniform Bank does incredible work kitting out children who would otherwise go without- make no mistake the overwhelmingly positive impact having the right uniform and equipment can have on a child’s experience of school.
“It is extremely encouraging that there has been such an incredible amount of donations, which will mean the world to those children heading to school in just a few weeks.
“My door is open for donations throughout the year and I would encourage anyone still looking to drop anything off to come in before the terms starts.”
